I actually find this to be pretty good tune. I am fond of the 1994-03-30 version found on So Many Roads.

Anyone out there got any other favorites?

Never really dug this tune but then I heard Furthur do it live at the Ottawa Blues Fest, Summer 2010, and it was an ecstatic experience. Everyone around me was dancing up a storm and singing along and it was really cathartic.

It was just the right tune at the right time. I was just about to graduate from university - swimming in mixed emotions surrounding my upcoming release from a long-held pattern of behavior. I had struggled through school, resisting authority and the ethos embedded in the knowledge I was absorbing. I was so ready to set out on my own and explore existence yet slightly dazzled by all of the possibilities.

This message affirmed for me the strength of freedom and resolution to create my life as I saw fit.

Don't listen to it much these days as I rarely listen to 90's shows but really do appreciate it.

Not in particular. I like the song, especially Hunter's lyrics. I wish Garcia had put it in the rotation much earlier. I could never figure out why so many seemed to dislike this so much. A case of Black Muddy River?
